Upper School Laptop Model

ALL 9th grade As part of our continued commitment to providing our students with the technology best suited to their developmental and academic needs, we will require ALL 9th graders to use a tablet computer.  We have chosen the Lenovo Yoga 370 as our GDS Upper School model.

NEW 10th  and 11th grade students should purchase the GDS Lenovo Yoga 370 from the Web site listed below.

NEW 12th grade students should call the Director of Educational Technology, Dana Smith, to discuss their options (288-8590 x448).

Laptop Ordering Information

The Greensboro Day School/Lenovo Website is now ready to take laptop orders. Laptops ordered now will take approximately two weeks to ship.  The laptop models come bundled with ALL that is necessary for students to participate in their classes: laptop, AC adapter, battery, digitizer pen (stylus) and software.

On the website, you can either click on the image of the laptop and then add it to your cart or you can type in the custom part number (20JJS0SW00) in the ‘Ready to Order?' section. You will need to create a Lenovo account to complete your laptop order.

If you need to speak with a Lenovo representative, please be sure to tell them that you are with Greensboro Day School and give them the part number (20JJS0SW00). This assures that your computer is the exact model that we are using and comes with the necessary software.  You DO NOT want to change anything in the configuration in this bundle.

There are optional accessories listed if you are interested in purchasing an additional adapter or digitizer pen (stylus).  However, we will be carrying these items in our Bengal Bookstore.  There is a Lenovo phone number on the website to call with questions or you may also call the GDS Help Desk (x243, Mr. Bill Welch) and/or the Director of Educational Technology (x448, Dr. Dana Smith).

All computers ordered through the GDS/Lenovo site come with Accidental Damage Protection. This protection plan will cover most repairs to your child's computer. It does not cover loss or fire, so you might want to consider adding the computer to your homeowner's insurance.
