Rental Information

Sloan Theatre (600 seat capacity)

  • Non-profit Events/$100; Rehearsal/$50 (per hour)
  • Commercial Events/$250; Rehearsal/$125 (per hour)
  • Load-in/Setup $75/hour
  • Rental rates include one-hour before, and one-hour after event minimum. (For example, a 2-hour event requires a 4-hour rental.
  • Other Fees:
    • Technical supervision $30/hour
    • Cleaning fee $100
    • Coffee service $50 per 100
    • Security $30/hour
    • House Manager $15/hour
    • Traffic control $50 one way (optional)

Bell Family Studio Theatre (150 seat capacity; non-fixed seating)

  • Non-profit Events/$75; Rehearsal/$50 (per hour)
  • Commercial Events/$175; Rehearsal/$125 (per hour)
  • Load-in/Setup $75/hour
  • Rental rates cover one-hour before, and one-hour after event minimum. (For example, a 2-hour event requires a 4-hour rental.
  • Other Fees:
    • Technical supervision $30/hour
    • Cleaning fee $100
    • Coffee service $50 per 100
    • Security $30/hour
    • House Manager $15/hour

Labor Rates

All rental events will be assessed additional labor charges ranging from $25/hour and up, depending on the amount of certified technicians required for each event, rehearsal, and/or set-up time. The Arts Center management will determine labor support.

Equipment Rental Rates per Day

All equipment is by special arrangement with the Arts Center Technical Director.

Stage Equipment

  • Choral risers per section $5
  • Stack chairs per 25 $25
  • Music stands each $1
  • Music stand lights each $1
  • Piano includes tuning $100
  • 8' rectangular table each $10

Lighting Equipment

  • Follow spot (2 available) (Auditorium) each $30
  • Gel color for lighting instruments per 8 $16
  • Lighting instruments plus house plot $10

Audio/Visual Equipment (Theatre Lobby)

  • TV/VCR on cart $25
  • Portable lobby projection system (screen, computer, projector) $25
  • Projector/screeen included in Sloan Theatre rental.

Sound Equipment

  • Hand-held microphone w/ stand (5) $10
  • Wireless clip-on microphone (5) $35
  • Wireless hand-held microphone (1) $25
  • Monitor speakers each set (2) $20
  • Overhead microphones per 4 $25
  • PCC (floor microphones) per 3 $50
  • Portable sound system each $100
  • The Theatre Lobby has a separate sound system with microphone hook-ups available.

Technical Equipment included in Rental Fees

The following are available at no extra cost for the Sloan Theatre, provided that the request is made in writing no later than 10 days prior to the event. (Labor not included)

  1. Basic stage lighting (one scene)
  2. Basic curtains and draperies
  3. Up to 50 orchestra chairs
  4. 2 standard microphones with stands
  5. Lectern, with microphone
  6. 2 folding tables
  7. Basic sound system with cassette or CD player (does not include operator)
  8. Basic stage communication system
  9. Backstage paging and monitor system
  10. Video projector/VCR and screen

  • Stage width: 40 feet wide x 30 feet deep proscenium (plus an 8-foot pit)
  • Sound: 24-channel Allen & Heath Audio Mixer
  • Lights: 192 dimmers with ETC Express Control Console
  • 105 ETC "Source 4" Elipsoidals (750w)
  • 8 Altman 6"x9" Elipsoidals (750w)
  • 12 ETC "Parnels" (750w)
  • 12 Altman Fresnels (500w)
  • 10 Altman Scoops (1000w)
  • 7 ETC "Sky Cyc" 3-color Floods (1000w)
  • Fly System: 25 battens (with 10 open for scenery) including show curtain, black traveler, white scrim and 50' wide cyclorama
