Arts
Stand on the stage or run the show behind the scenes. Study an artist’s style by painting in it. Master a new instrument. The fine arts are integral to the Greensboro Day School experience. Our students study studio and dramatic arts as well as band, orchestral, and choral performance—and learn as much about themselves as they do about art.
Performing-arts students take master classes with Emmy Award-winning directors and Broadway performers. Music students perform at venues throughout Greensboro. Visual-art classes experiment with everything from monoprinting to digital design. At the Day School, our extensive offerings in the visual arts, drama and music give students the chance to turn natural talents into sophisticated skills.
With our 600-seat Linda Sloan Theatre, the 250-seat Bell Family Studio Theatre, and advanced training in technical theatre, drama students gain extensive experience in the arts.
