International Festival Brings the World to Campus

International Festival Brings the World to Campus

On April 13, The GDS International Festival brought a vibrant tapestry of world cultures to campus. The Festival showcased the many diverse cultures in our community, and visitors were able to sample food and browse cultural displays from Belgium, Brazil, China, Colombia, France, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Ukraine, and Venezuela.

This event is possible thanks to our incredible international parent community. From displays of traditional craftsmanship to the scents of home-cooked delicacies that filled the Sally Gorrell Kuratnick ’75 Alumni Gym, these families gave all who attended an experience of what it means to be a global citizen.

We would like to express our thanks to all those who shared their heritage, their stories, and their time. Whether performing a traditional dance, explaining the history of a national garment, or simply sharing a smile across a table, their presence made our school feel a little more like home for everyone.
