Lifelong Learning Lab Extends the GDS Learning Experience to Adults

With this fall’s launch of the Lifelong Learning Lab (L3), The Greensboro Day School learning experience is now open to adults across the Triad.

L3 offers a series of evening classes designed for adults who want to learn, create, connect, or try something new. Taught by GDS’s expert faculty, the program opens the School’s state-of-the-art learning spaces to the broader community, offering adults an opportunity to learn a new skill, work with their hands, and connect with others.

“At Greensboro Day School, we believe curiosity has no age limit,” said Head of School Dr. Tracie Catlett. “Schools should be places of learning not only for children, but also for communities. We have extraordinary teachers, incredible new spaces, and resources that can inspire creativity and connection. The Lifelong Learning Lab gives us an opportunity to open those doors more widely to the Triad.”

The inaugural session concluded on September 30, with classes ranging from woodworking and pottery to 3D printing and mahjong. Two additional sessions will be offered this year, beginning on November 4 and January 14, with new course offerings planned for each session.
