McLendon Speaker Sabba Quidwai Shares How Humans Are Indispensable in a World of AI
The 2026–27 McLendon Speaker Series kicked off on September 28 with a presentation by Dr. Sabba Quidwai, CEO of Designing Schools and a lecturer at the University of California, Irvine.
Her presentation, “The Human Advantage in a World Powered by AI,” explored how human agency, creativity, and ambition play an indispensable role in driving the AI tools that are becoming ubiquitous in school and work environments.
The McLendon Speaker Series is a longstanding tradition at GDS thanks to an endowment established by Charles McLendon, co-founder and first board chair of Greensboro Day School. Learn more about this year’s speaker series.
