Six Seniors Recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation
We are proud to announce that six GDS seniors have been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. This honor is based on outstanding performance on the PSAT/NMSQT and recognizes the highest scoring students in each state.
Lyric Lis has been recognized as a National Merit Semifinalist, placing her in the top one percent of high school seniors nationwide. Semifinalists have the opportunity to apply for Finalist standing and official National Merit Scholarships.
In addition, Gavin Brokaw, Alexi Foley, Patrick Li, Neil Rai, and Connie Wang were recognized as Commended Scholars, a distinction placing them among the top three percent in the nation.
