On August 26, 2026, Greensboro Day School was proud to hold a ceremony dedicating Callicott Court in the Sally Gorrell Kuratnick ’75 Alumni Gym. The dedication was held to recognize Lynn Callicott Baranski ’84 and her mother, Anne, for their gift to the Be BOLD Campaign and in recognition of Lynn’s outstanding volleyball career at Greensboro Day School.
During her senior year, Lynn helped lead the Bengals to their first volleyball state championship in 1983. After graduating from GDS, Lynn continued her volleyball career at Wake Forest University, where she earned a BA degree in history and art history. She went on to earn an MBA degree in finance from Vanderbilt University.
Lynn served on the Greensboro Day School Board of Trustees from 2015–2021. She currently serves as a Managing Director at BlackRock Private Equity Partners.
The dedication was held shortly before the varsity volleyball team’s match against Calvary Day School. Before the match, Lynn spoke with the team and shared how volleyball helped her later in life, tips for getting ready for college, and stories of her deep connections to Greensboro Day School. Lynn shared with the students that, “Of all of my educational experiences, Greensboro Day School was the most meaningful in shaping who I am today.”
