ABOUT GLOBAL ONLINE ACADEMY
The mission of Global Online Academy is to reimagine learning to empower students and educators to thrive in a globally networked society.
GLOBAL ONLINE ACADEMY MEMBER SCHOOLS
There are more than 115 high-performing independent schools in the consortium, representing five continents, nearly 25 countries, and more than 30 states. A few partner schools include Lakeside School in Seattle; International School of Beijing in China; The Blake School in Minneapolis; The Dalton School in New York; King's Academy in Jordan; and Albuquerque Academy in New Mexico. Greensboro Day School is the first in the Triad area of North Carolina. All GOA courses are taught by teachers who are currently teaching at a GOA member school.
ABOUT GLOBAL ONLINE ACADEMY COURSES AND TEACHERS
Students in grades 10th-12th take GOA courses for credit at Greensboro Day School. GOA course workload and course intensity are equivalent to courses taken on our campus. Students collaborate on challenging and interesting projects with students from around the world. They are also expected to manage their workload and time effectively to support the asynchronous nature of the courses.
GOA maintains excellence through rigorous teacher training, building on the best practices and values of leading independent schools — and by ensuring classrooms stay at a small size that fosters strong teacher-student relationships and student-to-student collaboration and interaction.FOR MORE INFORMATION
