The Heroes Center offers veterans transitional and emergency housing, food, access to VA benefits education, and job placement. The camp is ideally located minutes from downtown High Point and shopping, outdoor sports, High Point University, and Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC).

BackPack Beginnings’ mission is to feed, comfort, and clothe children in need. Childhood hunger and trauma expose children to risk of developmental, emotional, and educational delays that can last a lifetime. We provide tangible basic needs directly to children and families in need, including food, fresh produce, formula, baby food, comfort items, hygiene products, school supplies, diapers, clothing, shoes, books, baby accessories, and baby equipment.

The mission of Crayons Matter is to inspire children to uncover their potential and purpose through creative art by providing much-needed backpacks filled with school supplies such as crayons, paper, colored pencils, pencils, pencil sharpeners, and inspirational artwork created by children in the United States.

The purpose of the North Carolina Wildlife Habitat Foundation is to assist in the acquisition, management, and protection of wildlife habitat within the state of North Carolina and promote conservation education for the benefit of future generations.

NCWHF has a club division at GDS. NCWHF has annual projects on the GDS campus, including plantings, memorial bluebird houses, and new benches.
