Greensboro Day School Receives Award from No Barriers and Wells Fargo
Several Greensboro Day School students along with Mrs. Angela Ballou received news that their Global Impact Challenge Proposal to work to remove barriers for children living with disabilities received a runner-up prize from No Barriers and Wells Fargo!
“Best Buds” was chosen as one of the top four middle school teams across the nation and will receive $1,000 to help fund their proposal. Their proposal is to create a buddy system that pairs middle school-aged kids with a buddy who has a mental or physical disability in order to help both of the individuals socialize and to also spread awareness about disabilities.
Congratulations to 8th graders Allie Bensimhon, Anna Lewis, Annika Rogers, Payton Wagner, Hetti Price-Bailey, Makayla Blount, Kiersten Kohler, Sam Head, Adair Wood, Marguerite Stanley, Ellis Parr, Rose Schulte, Clara McCartney, Sasha Nikiforov, Anna Griffin, and Charlotte Saunders.
