George Seifert ’21 receives Class of 2020 Resilience Award

The class of 2020 created the Class of 2020 Resilience Award award to honor a member of the graduating class who has shown resilience in the face of adversity, just as the class of 2020 did in facing the challenges of COVID during their senior year. On August 2, Head of School Tracie Catlett presented the Class of 2020 Resilience Award to George Seifert ’21.

George joined GDS in his senior year. In addition to the difficulties posed by COVID, George was facing his own health challenges, and he made the move to GDS to find a safe place to spend his senior year. George showed extraordinary resilience in the face of these challenges, making the Upper School Honor Roll and playing on the varsity lacrosse team. He will attend the University of Pittsburgh this fall.

Congratulations, George, on receiving the Class of 2020 Resilience Award!
