Greensboro Day School is pleased to announce that RJ Hooker has accepted the position of Assistant Director of College Counseling in the Upper School. RJ will begin July 15, 2018.
RJ has strong experience in counseling both high school and college students. “We are thrilled to begin working with RJ this summer. His writing background, college counseling experience, and overall artistic expertise are the perfect complements to our office. We are looking forward to creating new opportunities for our students with RJ on board.” stated Tammy Alt, Director of College Counseling.
When asked about joining the GDS community, RJ stated "I'm excited to begin at GDS because of its dynamic community and my passion for student development. I can't wait to get to know the students and support them in their paths to college."
RJ will replace Margaret Brown ’97 who will be moving to Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, MA to serve as their health educator in grades 9-12.
RJ was the first choice of the search committee, and we are thrilled to welcome him to Greensboro Day School. His background and experience are a perfect fit for GDS.
