Athletic Team Captains Sharpen Leadership Skills

Greensboro Day School’s athletic team captains are taking part in a leadership development program led by Brooklyn Maxwell, a graduate student in the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s Kinesiology program.

Ms. Maxwell, who holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UNCG, serves as a Mental Performance Intern and meets monthly with GDS team captains. In a recent session, she encouraged captains to identify and apply their strengths—such as leadership and flexibility—to positively influence others.

This leadership development program underscores GDS’s commitment to developing student-athletes who lead with purpose and confidence both on and off the field.
