Bengal Sprinters Shine at Nike Indoor Nationals
Seventh grader India Wilson and tenth grader Dana Wilson were both invited to participate in the Nike Indoor Nationals Track and Field Meet at The Armory in New York City over March 10–12.
India competed in the Middle School 60m Dash and finished 25th in the preliminaries with a time of 8.44s.
Dana (pictured above) competed in both the 200m Dash and the 60m Dash. Dana finished 12th in the preliminaries of the 200m Dash with a time of 24.60s.
In the 60m Dash, Dana was placed in the 5th and fastest heat in the preliminaries. She won her heat and advanced to the final race, placing 2nd with a time of 7.40s. With this time, Dana is now third all-time in North Carolina in the 60m Dash and is currently the top sophomore in the nation.
