On October 15, Assistant Preschool Director Emilee Transou served on a leadership panel at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
The panel, part of the Human Development and Family Studies program, featured professionals sharing their career and educational journeys with undergraduate students preparing for future roles in education and related fields.
Emilee reflected on the planned and unexpected parts of her professional path, offering insight into the rewards and challenges of leadership in education.
In addition to her role at GDS, Emilee has served as an adjunct professor at UNCG for more than 20 years. She helped launch the GDS preschool program, taught in the preschool for 14 years, and now supports teachers, students, and families as Assistant Preschool Director.
