Ethno USA Brings Global Music Experience to GDS
On September 4, students in grades K–6 welcomed musicians from Ethno USA, a group of young people from around the world who are participating in an 11-day residency that includes performances at the North Carolina Folk Fest.
The group that visited GDS included musicians from several U.S. states as well as from Greece, Norway, and Chile. The musicians performed and taught students an original song from Chile.
The full Ethno USA ensemble performed at the North Carolina Folk Fest on Saturday, September 7, and GDS students were invited to join them onstage to perform the song they learned together!
