GDS Faculty Lead Early Childhood Educator Series

GDS Faculty Lead Early Childhood Educator Series

On March 10, Greensboro Day School resumed its longstanding preschool professional development program with the Early Childhood Educator Series. The evening program welcomed more than 45 preschool and childcare teachers from across the Triad for a free night of professional development led entirely by GDS’s own preschool faculty and Lower School Learning Support Coordinator.

Held at the Helen Monroe Preschool, the event offered two back-to-back breakout sessions across seven topics, each earning one professional contact hour. The breakout sessions covered a wide variety of topics, such as Deepening Discovery Through Playful Learning, Building the Brain and Body for Success, and Managing Challenge Behavior. Each session was led by our own faculty members.

The event was free to all attendees, a reflection of GDS’s long-standing commitment to elevating early childhood education across the broader community and a testament to the expertise of our faculty.
