We are excited to announce that Tim Finnegan will join GDS as our new Chief Financial Officer on June 17, 2024.
Tim has worked in finance his entire career and has experience in both the education and private sectors, including a nine-year stint at Morgan Stanley on Wall Street. He currently works for the Archdiocese of New York, where he serves as the Director of Finance. He began his career with the Archdiocese nearly nine years ago and has held a number of positions, including Director of Budgeting & Treasury Operations and Director of Budgeting and Reporting. In his current position, Tim manages a $200MM+ budget, conducts monthly budget variance reports, manages the financial and cash flow forecasting process for the Department of Education, and supervises regional business managers across the state.
Tim holds a B.A. from Assumption College, where he was a Division II golf player, and earned a M.S. in Accounting from Syracuse University. He currently lives in Bethpage, New York, with his wife Holly and two sons, Bradley (9) and Harrison (6). Tim enjoys coaching basketball and baseball at his sons’ school, where Holly volunteers as the PA President. His sons love sports, especially lacrosse, and they look forward to moving to North Carolina to be closer to their cousins in Raleigh.

We would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to Alanna Brown, who has served as Interim CFO since March of 2023. We are grateful for her leadership and expertise during this time. Alanna will work alongside Tim this summer as he transitions into his new role.
