Greensboro Day School is proud to announce that our athletic program has earned the prestigious Wells Fargo Cup for the first time in school history, earning top honors in the 3A classification for overall athletic excellence.
Presented annually by the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association (NCISAA), the Wells Fargo Cup recognizes the state’s most successful high school athletic programs based on performance across all varsity sports. GDS earned this year’s title through the remarkable efforts of its student-athletes and coaches, who delivered outstanding results in a wide range of sports during the 2024–25 school year.
“This is a milestone moment for Greensboro Day School athletics,” said Athletic Director Craig Ashley. “Our teams demonstrated exceptional dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship across every season. Winning the Wells Fargo Cup reflects the strength of our entire athletic program and community.”
