International Festival Celebrates the Diverse Cultures in Our Community

On March 6, Alumni Gym was transformed into a colorful and lively celebration of food, culture, and performance from around the world.

The GDS International Festival showcased the many diverse cultures in our community, and visitors were able to sample delicacies and browse cultural displays from Brazil, Bulgaria, India, France, Israel, Nigeria, Pakistan, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, and many more.

On stage, visitors were treated to fantastic performances of Korean pop dancing, choral music from Noteworthy, Irish step dancing, Spanish flamenco dancing, Indian Bharatanatyam dance, and spoken word poetry.

Thanks to Jeff Bradsher and Rachel Percival, the faculty organizers for this event. A special thanks goes to Murielle Lieb, Michelle Herr, and Sandra Dumbill for the hours and energy they dedicated to making this event successful. Finally, thanks to all those who set up booths, performed, volunteered, and attended—we couldn’t have done it without you!
