On January 7, 2025, McLendon speaker Corey Layne Crouch spoke about the impact that artificial intelligence has had on the field of education and how the technology will become more pervasive in the future.
Ms. Crouch, who is the Chief Program Officer at AI for Education, stressed the importance of schools partnering with parents to provide education about AI and to help students learn to use AI critically, ethically, and responsibly. She also shared some tips and resources for parents and guardians.
On January 6, Ms. Crouch led a professional development session for GDS faculty exploring how AI tools can be used to automate time-consuming tasks to create more space for teaching and learning.
