Meg Chambers Steedle is 2025 Graduation Speaker

We are thrilled to announce that our 2025 graduation speaker will be Greensboro Day School alumna Meg Chambers Steedle. Meg is an actor, filmmaker, and acting coach based in New York City.

She began her career onstage in world premiere productions (David Ives’ The Heir Apparent, Ken Ludwig’s Fox on the Fairway) before earning more widespread recognition for her role as Billie Kent on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, earning her a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series.

She has since built a multifaceted career across film, television, and theater. TV credits include Grey’s Anatomy, American Horror Story, NCIS, Nashville, Mysteries of Laura, A Friend of the Family, and Mr. Mercedes among others. As a writer, she was a finalist for the $50,000 Screencraft Film Fund (Pop Screen), the Slamdance Screenplay Competition (Patient), and the Outstanding Screenplays Competition (Pop Screen). In 2022, she launched a private coaching practice to help actors develop confidence and craft.

Meg is currently directing her first original musical film, Pop Screen, which features original songs and is inspired by her time working behind the scenes at a historic Los Angeles recording studio.

A cum laude graduate of Northwestern University, Meg credits GDS with instilling the discipline and curiosity that continue to guide her work. In 2015, she established the Scholar-Artist Award at GDS to honor a rising senior student balancing academic excellence with artistic dedication.
