Moot Court Returns to In-Person Competition

Congratulations to Greensboro Day School Moot Court team members, who competed against teams from all over the nation on March 4 at Duke University. This is the team’s first in-person tournament since the onset of COVID-19.

Moot Court involves a simulated oral argument in front of the Supreme Court. All teams were given an extensive hypothetical fact pattern as well as a library of Supreme Court and Circuit Court cases. Participants are required to argue both sides of the case, and their arguments can be interrupted at any time by a panel of judges.

The GDS Moot Court team includes Cameron Hanley ’25, Max Jiang ’23, Kublai Khan ’23, Steven Li ’23, Claire McDowell ’23, Paige McKee ’23, Gabe Rich ’24, Isabella Thongteum ’25, Jules Voorhoeve ’24, and Cynthia Wang ’23.
