New Maintenance Facility Named for Brano Milicevic

On November 20, 2024, Greensboro Day School held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for our new maintenance facility, which also includes restrooms and changing rooms for the Tennis Center.

At the ceremony, Head of School Dr. Tracie Catlett announced that the maintenance facility has been named in honor of Brano Milicevic, thanks to a donor who wishes to remain anonymous. Brano first joined the Greensboro Day School maintenance team in 1995 and was promoted to Director of Facilities in 2003. He stepped down from that role at the end of the 2023–24 school year to take on the part-time role of Construction Project Manager. Brano’s contributions to the beautiful campus and facilities we enjoy today have been significant, and it is fitting that this great new facility has been named in his honor.

The Brano Milicevic Maintenance Facility is part of Greensboro Day School’s $27 Million Be BOLD Campaign, which also includes the recently opened Helen Monroe Preschool and the Center for Student Life, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation, which is currently under construction and planned to open in March, 2026. A portion of the Campaign will grow the School’s endowment by $2 million.
