Early Childhood Department Chair and Bitty Bengals Teacher Emilee Transou has been named an Inspirational Educator. This honor from the UNC Greensboro School of Education recognizes teachers who have made a transformative impact on students’ lives and the difference educators make in engaging communities and promoting life-changing opportunities through education. Emilee is the Early Childhood Department Chair and a Bitty Bengals (three-year-olds) Teacher. This is her 13th year at GDS and her 25th as an early childhood educator. Emilee has also served as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Specialized Education Services and Human Development and Family Studies at UNCG. She has attended and presented at various conferences, most recently at the NCAIS Early Childhood Educators Conference.
