GDS music students recently had the opportunity to perform with other outstanding musicians from across the state at the NCAIS Honors Band and Honors Chorus events.
Twelve upper school Chorus students attended NCAIS Honors Chorus at UNC-Wilmington from October 17–18. Students joined more than 100 students from other independent schools from across North Carolina. They learned valuable choral skills and performed a diverse repertoire of music under the direction of UNCW Conductor Aaron Peisner. Congratulations to Shreya Acharya ’26, Anne Blackledge ’28, Joshua Bradsher ’28, Libby Davis ’26, Kayden Feinstein ’27, Audrey Fang ’26, Kyla Kline ’28, Isaiah Harper ’28, Helen He ’25, Julia Soutto Mayor Guimaraes ’27, Amalia Trigilio ’28, and Kinsi Winn ’26.
In addition, four band students participated in the NCAIS Honors Band at Wake Forest University over October 17–18. Congratulations to Jayden Haviland ’26, Iris Holdren ’28, Lyric Lis ’27, and Saihaj Kohli ’26.
