On December 3, GDS welcomed the Converse Trio to campus for a series of master classes and an evening concert. The Converse Trio is led by GDS graduate Dr. Courtney Elise LeBauer ’91 (violin) and also includes Dr. Steven Graff (piano) and Kathleen Foster (cello.) All three are faculty at the Petrie School of Music at Converse University.
Master classes were free and open to the community, with our visiting faculty offering students specific ideas on improving technical proficiency, expanding musical interpretation, and conquering the problems of performance anxiety. The evening concert in Sloan Theatre featured work by Hadyn, Schubert, and Brahms.
